中国父母往往过于关注孩子的学习，以至于不要他们帮忙做家务。他们对孩子的唯一要求就是努力学习，考得好，能上名牌大学。他们相信这是为孩子好，因为在中国这样竞争激烈的社会里，只有成绩好才能保证前途光明。中国父母还认为，如果孩子能在社会上取得大的成就，父母就会收到尊敬。因此，他们愿意牺牲自己的时间、爱好和兴趣，为孩子创造更好的条件。
Chinese parents tend to focus too much on children's study, so they won’t ask their children to help them to do the housework. The only requirement for the kids is studying hard on the school courses. Because in China, the higher the grade is, the more wonderful chance will be presented for them to be admitted by the famous university. They do believed their behaviors are good for the children . For in China, a competitive society, only the man who has the highest grades will have a bright future. Chinese parents also hold that if the child can obtain the big success in the society, they will receive others’ respect correspondingly. As a result, they are willing to sacrifice their own time, hobbies and interests to create the better conditions for their children.
