IMBER（Integrated Marine Biogeochemistry and Ecosystem Research：海洋生物地球化学与生态系统整合研究）是专注于海洋生物地球化学和生态系统研究的国际研究计划（www.imber.info）。
IMBER和华东师范大学（ECNU）在2010年达成合作协议，在华东师范大学设立区域项目办公室（IMBER RPO），以推动IMBER在亚太区域开展“IMBER科学计划和执行战略”。IMBER RPO在一名办公室主任领导下工作，配备行政助理（文秘）一名。
目前在岗的办公室主任因个人原因拟辞职，IMBER和ECNU计划招聘一名办公室主任。
区域项目办公室（中国）主任是IMBER国际项目办公室（IPO）（位于挪威卑尔根海洋研究所）主任的助手，协助IMBER科学指导委员会施行“IMBER科学计划和执行战略”，推进IMBER在亚太地区的活动。IMBER RPO执行主任重点要帮助协调IMBER“陆架边缘活动（Continental Margins Activities）”，并为IMBER“能力构建工作组（Capacity Building Working Group）”会议和活动提供支持。RPO主任将负责寻找项目资助和管理项目资金，代表区域项目参加国际会议，与IMBER国家委员会、工作组，以及其它国际项目开展交流。
应聘者需具备海洋科学或相关学科博士学位和优良的科学协调能力，并熟悉IMBER研究领域，有相关经验者优先。同时，应聘者还需要具备优秀的人际交往、行政管理能力和一流的中英文书面、口语表达能力。该职位需要经常国际出差。
该职位从2014年6月开始，最初聘期一年，可延长至三年。工资因个人能力和资历而定，年薪上限20万人民币。

Deputy Executive Officer for the IMBER Regional Project Office - China
IMBER (Integrated Marine Biogeochemistry and Ecosystem Research) is an international research project focussed on marine biogeochemical and ecosystem research (www.imber.info).
IMBER and East China Normal University (ECNU) have jointly established a regional office, IMBER Regional Project Office (IMBER-RPO) since 2010, to promote IMBER in the Asia-Pacific Region to support the implementation of the IMBER Science Plan and Implementation Strategy. The IMBER RPO is located at the East China Normal University, Shanghai, China and headed by a Deputy Executive Officer who is assisted by an administrative officer/secretary.
The current Deputy Executive Officer is going to resign from the position for personal reasons. Therefore IMBER and ECNU are seeking a candidate to fulfil the vacancy.
The tasks of the Deputy Executive Officer are to assist the Executive Officer at the International Project Office (IPO) located at the Institute of Marine Research, Nordnes, Bergen, Norway. This includes helping to support the IMBER Scientific Steering Committee (SSC) in implementing the IMBER Science Plan and Implementation Strategy, and promoting IMBER activities in the Asia-Pacific region. Particularly, the Deputy Executive Officer is expected to help coordinate the Continental Margins Activities of IMBER, and provide support for IMBER Capacity Building Working Group meetings and activities. The Deputy Executive Officer of the RPO is responsible for seeking and managing project finances, representing the project at international meetings, and interacting with IMBER national committees and groups, as well as other international projects.
For this position, we seek a candidate with a PhD degree on Marine Sciences and a strong track record in scientific coordination, as well as familiarity, and preferably some experience, in the IMBER research area. Some international travel will be involved. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and administrative abilities and first-class skills in both written and verbal communication in English and Chinese.
This position is initially for one year with extension for up to three years and available in June 2014. The salary will be up to 200k in CNY per year, depending on the relevant skills, knowledge and experience that the candidate brings to the role.
