Assistant Professor Haoyu Wang’s research group is seeking a research assistant to work closely with the principal investigator, post doc and students in the laboratory. Current projects focus in the areas of the application of power electronics in transportation electrification and renewable energies systems. Maintaining laboratory facilities and participating into the research and development project is an important part of the job. The position is available immediately for one year, with extension as an option based on productivity and funding. The position will report to Prof. Wang directly.
Qualifications:
(1)A bachelor degree in Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation, Control, and other related disciplines.
(2)Good skills in embedded system (MCU, DSP, and ARM) development.
(3)Basic knowledge of power converters simulation, modeling, and implementation, and testing is highly desirable.
(4)Ability to work with PI on equipment procurement and maintenance, ordering of supplies and maintaining records on lab safety and compliance.
(5)Good written and reading skills in English.
