Research Assistant/Postdoctoral Position in Properties of Entropy Functions in Information Theory

Assistant Professor Yanlin Geng’s research group is seeking a research assistant/postdoctoral researcher in the area of information theory. The project aims to investigate the behavior of differential entropy under Gaussian noise perturbation, the features of entropy space, and the properties of entropy functions. The candidate will mainly perform theoretical analysis, and might need to do a bit programming. He/she will be also involved in collaborations with international partners from Hong Kong and USA. Qualification:
A minimum academic qualification is PhD degree in Information Engineering or relevant discipline. Applicants with knowledge of information theory are desirable. Previous experiences in work related to Gaussian noise and entropy functions and the ability of programming would be a plus.
