Dear sirs/madams,
I read the news on the Internet that you’re expecting some ideas from us students about World Book Day. Here I’d like to share my ideas with you.
I think World Book Day is a magnificent event, which encourages people, especially us teenagers, to discover the pleasure of reading.Through reading, we will become smart and even wise. So I hope that good books will accompany me all my life and reading will become part of my life.
For the sake of book lovers, I suggest opening up book clubs and holding classics reading contest on the Internet. Isn’t it a good way to promote readers’ interest in reading?
I wish my tips would be of a little help to you.
Yours truly
Li Hua

Text 10
M: The National Park we will visit is located in the desert just north of our city. Like any outing of this nature, you should be prepared for the adventure in the desert:
First, Go on an outing with a partner for safety and leave word where you will be traveling in case of an emergency. Second, carry a cell phone with you. However, keep in mind that you might not get any signal, so don’t depend on it. Third, be sure to have the right clothing and shoes or boots for the outing. Light, breathable clothing is best during the summer, along with a hat. Fourth, carry plenty of water. Having a few snacks can give you energy, too. Fifth, take a set of tools and equipment for first-aid with you, in case you get injured. Sixth, pack a detailed map of the area where you are having an outing, along with a compass or a GPS to locate your position. You might need them to find the direction through unfamiliar places. And finally, take nothing home with you except pictures and memories. You can protect these areas by leaving all rocks, flowers, and other objects for future visitors.
