Dear Ms Roswell,
Thank you for choosing Hollywood Tours. We received your online registration (登记) on April 19th and your payment on May 3rd.
Attached, please find a tour schedule, including hotel information. Again, you will be staying in the Hollywood Grand Hotel, which is one of the top hotels in the Greater Los Angeles area. You are certain to enjoy a very pleasant stay there. In September of last year, it was voted “Best Hotel in California” by Pacific Vacations Magazine.
Also, please remember that the tour schedule is already fixed, so please try to arrive at the hotel by June 28th to begin your wonderful tour of Hollywood. I so look forward to seeing you!

Dear Mr Wilde,
Thank you for your recent e-mail. However, I have a couple of issues. First, I don’t think I can arrive by June 28th, because of some sudden business coming up. I don’t think I’ll be able to arrive until July 1st or July 2nd.
Also, I did get a chance to read about the Hollywood Grand Hotel in Pacific Vacations Magazine, and it indeed gave the hotel excellent reviews. It was especially abundant in its praise of that hotel’s rooftop pool, which it said gave a fantastic view of the Hollywood Hills.
However, I actually had my heart set on staying on the LA Palace Hotel instead of the Hollywood Grand, because it’s closer to downtown and I will meet a few clients during my vacation in the LA business district (I’ll be combining business and pleasure).
I’ll have to go to that district several times during my stay and I don’t want to be caught in the terrible LA traffic again. Thus, the LA Palace Hotel much better serves my professional needs, while also allowing me to enjoy my time in the Greater Los Angeles area. I need to remain productive, I’m afraid, even while attempting to balance that against my leisure goals in the area. If I have to pay any additional fees in order to do these things, it’s okay with me.
Sincerely,
Charlene Roswell

With courses on David Beckham and Harry Potter on offer at famous universities,it comes as no surprise that students are now able to learn the art of the perfect selfie (自拍).
The concept of taking selfies gained great popularity. It soon exploded on the Internet, and people started crazily to take images that had them as the primary item of focus. The trend became so popular that it even inspired a song,“Selfie” by The Chainsmokers, which racked up 267 million views on YouTube. In fact,Twitter declared 2014 as “the year of the selfie”.
Just like the art of photography can be studied and improved,City Literary Institute,a wellknown college in London, felt it needed to educate people on the fine art of taking the perfect selfie and officially started to offer a firstever course on that.
The foursession course will cost £132 (£106 for seniors),but the fee won't even include a free selfiestick,a tool that is rapidly gaining acceptance for serious selfietakers. It is open to all enthusiastic and selfobsessed photographers.
As part of the new course, selfabsorbed photographers will be taught “valuable life skills” to prepare themselves to face a world which could present a photo opportunity at any point.Apart from offering the muchneeded but seldomsought guidance on the best angles and lighting, the course promises to improve your critical understanding of the “selfie”.There will also be a brief exploration into the concepts of “identity, selfhood and memory” as well as the opportunity to “develop new ideas to make your photography more relevant to your aims”.
But the selfie enthusiasts must be prepared to share their photos,as organizers said a critique (评论) of students' work would form an important role in the learning process.
