根据协议书，这些单位将为南开大学学子的实践活动提供必要的指导和工作环境，为实践期满的学生出具评定报告，并有优先选择南开大学应届毕业生的权利。而南开大学在科研成果转让方面将优先考虑教学实践基地单位，并将派教师对学生的实践活动进行指导，实践学生将优先考虑参与这些单位所需的项目，并提供项目的研发成果。
天津海泰科技发展股份有限公司签约成为南开大学实践教学基地，这家公司董事长、总经理杨川说：“我们公司从事高新技术企业孵化器建设和经营，希望学子在我们这个孵化器里把科研理论知识孵化成为现实的产品、生产力。”
